Detailed Itinerary of the5 Days Uganda Mgahinga Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trek
Day 1 of the 5 Days Gorillas and Golden Monkeys Trek: Arrival and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport where you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you to Mgahinga National Park in the South West of Uganda. Transfer for 6 to 7 hours with lunch en-route in Mbarara. When you reach the Park proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters for briefing about the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger transfer to enter the green forest habitat to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After Gorilla Trekking proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 3: Mount Gahinga Volcano Hike and Nature Walk
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to be briefed on the Dos and Don’ts while hiking the stunning Mount Gahinga Volcano then later in groups with a park ranger, hike to the top of this Mountain Volcano that does not require you to be an avid hiker in 6 hours both ascent and descent. Along the Hike watch the Golden Monkeys, birds and green vegetation. After your Hiking Adventure, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 4: Golden monkey Tracking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to be briefed on the code of conduct around the Golden Monkeys in the forest then later in groups with a park ranger, transfer on the various trails tracking the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After Golden Monkey Tracking, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a transfer to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
