Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Goma
On arrival at the Kigali International Airport you are picked up by our company representative/ guide who transfers you via the Gisenyi Rwanda Congo border to Goma Town in DR Congo. Have lunch then transfer to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mikeno lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, enter the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking photos to keep for memories.
Day 3: Transfer to Bukavu Town-Kahuzi Biega
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Bukavu Town/ Kahuzi Biega National Park. En-route enjoy views of the green vegetation terrain, birds as well as lunch. When you reach the Park, proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Orchid Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
Wake up early in the morning take breakfast then transfer to be briefed about the code of conduct around Eastern Lowland Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, enter the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours then after meeting them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking photos to keep for memories. After Gorilla trekking, proceed to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Orchid safari lodge.
Day 5: Departure to Kigali
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
