Detailed Itinerary of the 6 Days Uganda Mgahinga Gorillas & Lake Mburo Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked and transferred to Mgahinga National Park in the South West of Uganda. Lunch is en-route then after hours of travelling, you reach Kisoro then to Mgahinga National Park where you check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas at the Park headquarters. Later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, enter the forest to track theMountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours. When you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking various photos to keep for memories. Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking & Community Walk
Wake up have breakfast and transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Golden Monkeys. After, you are distributed in groups with a park ranger to track them along various trails as you watch them play and jump form one tree branch to another for 2-4 hours taking various photos to keep.
After tracking the Golden Monkeys, break off for lunch then later in the evening, go for a guided nature community walk to the local Batwa Communities. Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park located a few kilometers off Mbarara Town. On reaching the Park, have lunch then proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mburo Safari Lodge, Mihingo Lodge.
Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Lake Mburo
Wake up early have breakfast and later transfer for a Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park. While here, watch wildlife wander around their natural bushy vegetation habitat. After the Game Drive. have lunch ten later proceed to the shores of Lake Mburo for a Boat cruise along the Lake where you watch wildlife animals, birds and crocodiles. Dinner and Overnight. Day 6: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, embark on a transfer to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
