Day 1: Arrival and City Tour in Kampala

Detailed Itinerary of the 7 Days (Uganda) Mgahinga Gorillas & Chimps Tour
Day 1: Arrival and City Tour in Kampala
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are welcomed and picked up by a company driver guide who transfers you on a City Tour around Kampala where you visit various cultural sites, legendary sites like the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, Bahai Temple, King’s palace Bulange, etc. After the City Tour, transfer back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Cassia Lodge Buziga.
Day 2: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, transfer to Mgahinga National Park located in the South Western part of Uganda. En-route enjoy views of the green terrain, birds as well as lunch. On reaching the park transfer to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger, penetrate the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After tracking the Gorillas, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Golden Monkeys in their natural forest vegetation habitat. You track these as you follow them on various trails in the forest for 2-4 hours watching them jump, play and make noise from one tree to another.
After Golden monkey tracking, break off for lunch then later in the evening, transfer on a guided nature and community walk around the Batwa communities. After, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro travelers Hotel.
Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, embark on a transfer to the stunning Kibale Forest National Park located a few kilometers off Fort Portal Town. Enjoy views en-route, lunch then later when you reach the park, check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ lodge Kibale, Chimpanzee View Guest house.
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 6 with a park ranger, transfer to the kanyachu Visitor’s Center where you will start from to penetrate the forest to track the are specie sof Chimpanzees in their natural forest vegetation habitat. When you meet them, take various photos to keep for memories.
After Chimpanzee tracking, proceed back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ lodge Kibale, Chimpanzee View Guest house.
Day 7: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a departure to Kampala or the Entebbe international Airport to board your flight back home.
