Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Uganda Mgahinga Gorillas & Golden Monkey Tour
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you to Mgahinga National Park. En-route enjoy views of the green terrain, Birds as well as lunch. On reaching the Park, check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas then later transfer in groups of 8 with a ranger guide to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours and when you meet them only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories. After Gorilla trekking at Mgahinga, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga National Park
Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Golden Monkeys in their natural forest vegetation habitat. After transfer in groups of 6 to 8 with a park ranger to follow the various trails in the forest after the Golden Monkeys as they jump from one tree branch to another making sounds.
Track these for 2-4 hours then later break off for lunch then later embark on guided nature walk in the evening with a park ranger guide. After your walk, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Wake up have breakfast then later with your luggage, embark on a transfer to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
