6 Days Jinja and Gorilla Tour

The 6 Days Jinja and Gorilla Tour takes you White Water Rafting, Boat Cruise along River Nile in Jinja and Gorilla trekking Safari at Mgahinga National Park located South West of Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Jinja Town

On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked up by a company driver guide who transfers you through Kampala towards the East of Uganda to Jinja Town. On reaching Jinja have lunch and transfer to the Banks of River Nile to enjoy a Boat Cruise to the Source of Nile an experience that is remarkable as you watch various species of birds flying around, Islands in a distance. After your cruise, proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Wild Waters lodge Jinja, Haven Lodge Jinja.

Day 2: White Water Rafting along River Nile

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the banks of River Nile to be briefed on the code of conduct before white water rafting along River Nile. After briefing and given appropriate gear you proceed to raft the vigorous Rapids of River Nile in different grades i.e 1 to 5. Enjoy your White Water Rafting experience for 4-6 hours depending on the grade you choose and after White Water rafting proceed back to the banks where you leave from to transfer for something to eat then later transfer back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage transfer to the beautiful Mgahinga National Park located a few kilometers off Kisoro Town. En-route enjoy views of the green terrain vegetation, birds and lunch and when you reach the park check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Mountain Gorillas. After here, you are distributed in groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger guide into the forest to track the Gorillas for 3-5 hours depending on their current location in the forest and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.

After Gorilla trekking, return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.  Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 5: Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Golden Monkeys then later in groups with a park ranger transfer to track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours following them from one trail to another as they jump from one tree branch to another an experience remarkable taking photos to keep for memories.

After Golden Monkey Tracking, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a transfer to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
